Extracurricular groups

The educational department of the fortified village of Mont-Dauphin offers a wide range of visits and workshops to help you discover the castle and have fun at the same time.

Our team of cultural mediators is in charge of running the workshops and tours. Trained to address young audiences, they adapt their discourse to the age of the children in the group.

Treasure hunt

"The Treasure of Millaures

Children discover a Dauphiné legend that predates the construction of Mont-Dauphin, and set off in search of a forgotten treasure. They progress by finding coordinates that allow them to fill in squares on their map. The puzzles call on a variety of skills and evoke the history of Mont-Dauphin.

Please note: maximum 15 children

Age: 6 to 12

"For a few barrels of gunpowder

Youngsters put themselves in the shoes of soldiers who have run out of gunpowder to appear at the troop review led by the governor of the stronghold. Solve riddles around the village to find the password and gain access to Mont-Dauphin's powder magazine!

Please note: 15 young people maximum

Heritage tours and workshops

Discover our heritage tours and workshops by age group:

• 3 to 6 years
• Ages 6 to 9
• Ages 9 to 12
• Ages 12 to 15
• From 15 to 18 years

All booking requests must be sent by e-mail to manon.assenat@monuments-nationaux.fr and include the following information:

• Date and time of visit requested
• Name of the establishment organizing the visit
• Administrative address of the establishment
• Last name, first name, telephone number and e-mail address of the person in charge of the group
• Number of children
• Number of accompanying adults
• Type of visit required
• Is the structure part of the social field (integration structure, priority education, city policy, priority district)?
• Please specify if children with disabilities will be attending the tour.

Once we have received your request, we will examine its feasibility and, if necessary, send you a booking confirmation to present at the ticket office on the day of your visit, together with a method of payment.

Discovery tour or treasure hunt (1h30)

Led by a cultural mediator, the discovery tour or treasure hunt allows you to discover the monument through a specific theme.

Full price: €90

Groups including young people with disabilities, integration structures, priority education, city policy, priority neighborhoods: €40

Heritage workshop (2h30)

Conducted by a cultural mediator, the heritage workshop includes a thematic visit and a period of plastic creation in the educational room.

Full price: €130

Groups for young people with disabilities, integration structures, priority education, city policy, priority neighborhoods: €60

The visit includes admission to the monument and the activity for a group of 30 children and 5 accompanying adults. Rate per additional accompanying adult: €5, free for holders of an Education Pass and AESH.

Reservations are mandatory.

Payment must be made on site in cash, by credit card, or by cheque made payable to "régisseur de recettes de la place forte de Mont-Dauphin".

We can accommodate two groups in the same time slot (visit on the one hand, workshop on the other), allowing you to share transport costs.

The plantation's shaded green space is ideal for picnics! A room may be available for groups to have lunch in bad weather (please contact us).
